Applying them: size all ten dry before you open the glue — the right nail touches both side walls without pressing into skin. Buff the surface of your own nail lightly, wipe each one with alcohol so it's clean and oil-free, then press the false nail on from the cuticle edge forward and hold for 10–15 seconds. Stay out of water for the first hour; that one rule accounts for most of the difference between two days of wear and two weeks.

Taking them off: soak your fingertips in warm soapy water until the adhesive softens, then ease each nail off from the side with a wooden stick. Never pry a set off dry — that's what takes a layer of your natural nail with it.
